Training
Diversity is at the root of human interaction. The delivery of effective performance based training, using diversity as the core message, can have wide ranging impacts upon service delivery and how organisations work together internally.
The EDU has developed a range of innovative training packages, aiming to provide front line staff, managers, service users and board members with the knowledge and skills to ensure they are meeting basic legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as developing an understanding of the importance of E&D and its impact on their day to day work.
The programme has already been delivered successfully to the Arena Housing Group, which is made up of 7 subsidiary organisations, across the North West.
We have delivered training to over 900 staff, residents, board members and contractors
Our Training Ethos
Challenging yet supportive
We’re not the ‘Thought Police’ but good E&D training challenges our inherent prejudices and preconceptions.
Informal, fun and creative
We don’t do ‘stuffy’
Experiential
We believe that when people are allowed to discuss and explore ideas; that’s when the learning happens.
Non-judgemental
We accept that there is often no right answer
Sharing knowledge and experience
We have extensive background knowledge and first hand experience to share
Practical
We can provide the academic back up, but we also understand the practical challenges faced in applying the learning.
Added Value
We provide support and guidance beyond the classroom
“I intend to use what I have learnt in my daily working life as well as my social life”

Engagement, Consultation & Research Services
Organisations want to know what their customers think about the services they receive. The EDU’s Consultation and Research service helps them get the information they need. Multi-lingual consultation and research services are also available.
Using an external organisation, such as the EDU, to communicate and listen to your customers can help you gain a clearer understanding of satisfaction levels and identify gaps in your service provision.

We currently manage The Merseyside Community Voice Project (MCV) which is a volunteer BME citizens’ advice panel that is regularly identified as a model of good practice. We have empowered panel members with the skills and knowledge and experience to participate actively in consultation and have a voice regarding issues that affect their communities.
