“Local Offers” represent a new way of tailoring the services of social housing providers based on what tenants want. The housing regulator Tenants Service Authority (TSA) requires all Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) to work with residents in setting “Local Offers” against the TSA standards for Tenant Involvement and Empowerment, Home, and Neighbourhood and Community.  Tenants can also set “Local Offers” around the other standards if they wish.

From April 2011 ‘local offers’ will become a key part of the Arena Group’s service delivery package (of course, Tung Sing is part of the Arena Group). We have also been working together with residents at an early stage, to develop a brand new “Arena’s ‘Customer Service Offer’” against the TSA standards. Residents also get involved in setting targets.

The results from our “Have Your Say” consultation events revealed that residents wanted Tung Sing to develop “local offers” based on the type of housing they live, one focuses on sheltered residents and the other on general needs. These “Offers” will help us tailor our service to fulfill residents’ local requirements and individual needs.
